What we shipped.

The Request & Vote board now runs a full community pipeline: suggest → vote → added → notified.

• Most wanted. Open requests are ranked by votes, with the top-voted story flagged ★ Most wanted. The count chip shows how many are waiting and how many have been added.
• Votes decide. Each signed-in reader gets one vote per request; the top-voted requests get cataloged first.
• Added ✓. When a request is fulfilled it moves to a Recently added to the catalog archive on the board — the title links straight to the live catalog page.
• You get notified. The moment a request is added, the bell pings the person who suggested it and everyone who voted, with a link straight to the new catalog page.
• You get rewarded. Casting a vote earns a small XP bonus, a request you voted for making it in earns more — and if your request is the one that lands, that’s the biggest payout of all. Rewards are one-time per request, so repeat votes never farm points.

The catalog pipeline is paused — no more nightly auto-import or automatic request merging. Instead the Request & Vote board is the source of truth, curated by hand.

• Request from anywhere. Paste a webnovel.com book link (still checked against the catalog) or just tell us a title with an optional author / source link. Free-form requests are upvotable too.
• Top votes get attention. Upvotes decide which stories the community most wants next — fulfilment is now a deliberate, manual step.
• Admin curation. The same form adds requests, and requests can be deleted straight from the board (votes are cleaned up too) — so stale, duplicate, or fulfilled entries never linger.

The form lives on the Request & Vote page and in the Add a novel box on Browse.

Two new dice, one rule: no regrets.

• The Surprise me button on the home page jumps you to a random novel from the catalog.
• The same shuffle lives in the site header, so a detour is always one click away.

The random pool is precomputed at build time from the full 1,494-novel catalog — no server round trip, instant page load.

The catalog is reader-driven now. On the new Request & Vote page you can paste any webnovel.com book link and queue it for the catalog — then upvote the requests you most want to see.

• Each signed-in reader gets one vote per request.
• Top-voted requests are synced into the catalog first on the next scrape run.
• Already-cataloged links are caught and rejected politely.

Find the form on the Browse page too — “Can’t find it? Request it.”

The Rankings Trending panel now splits into This week and This month windows, so you can see what’s hot right now versus what has held momentum all month.

• All-time popular ranks by total library adds since launch.
• This week counts fresh library adds within the current week.
• This month counts adds within the current calendar month.

Windowing is handled on the client with per-window counters, so the Spark plan needs no scheduled functions — the counters rotate themselves on the first add of a new week or month.

The community loop is now a game. Every meaningful action earns XP:

• +10 adding a novel to your library
• +5 following a novel or a reader
• +15 rating a novel
• +25 publishing a review
• +10 submitting a catalog request
• +5 for every day you read (daily login streak)

Levels climb on a triangular curve — 100 XP for level 2, 300 for level 3, 600 for level 4 — and carry eleven titles from Rookie to Archivist of Worlds. Your current level, progress bar, and day streak live in the header of your library, and on your public profile.

A new Leaderboards page ranks readers by XP, reviews, ratings, library size, and followers. Streaks reset only if you miss a day — miss nothing.
